Hoon Hay School presents "The Journey"

What a week of celebrating the Arts with every child in our school having their moment on the stage. We were taken on a journey by our very own Dr Who and his assistant Hayley Hay who helped our martian friends Boonie Hoonie find mischievous Zoonie and Goonie. From Antarctica to Argentina, South Africa to Spain - "The Journey" was a spectacle of colour and culture.
Around the world in 90mins - an awesome effort from the team and, as usual, our tamariki at Hoon Hay School absolutely shone in the spotlight! Special thanks to everyone who did their little bit to bring it all together!

Hoon Hay's Got Talent

It was another fantastic year with Hoon Hay's Got Talent 2018, ably led by Mrs Dent and her crew. So many wonderful acts and the judges had a hard time deciding who to put through to the final. The whole school turned out to support their favourite acts and a past pupil, Min Bin came along to perform his amazing dance routine then encouraged the children to dream big and stay focused to that dream. Min did admit that he was sometimes a little bit of a challenge for some of his teachers, but he has found his passion in dance and he is doing amazing things now in America. Thanks Min for your inspiring words. 

Haere Mai Grandparents

Welcome to all the Grandparents who took the time to view the "ART from the HeART" display with their mokopuna. We love seeing you and appreciate the time and attention you give your whanau.

It was delightful to see your faces as you visited each display. The children were all so proud of their creations and you as grandparents made it all seem a lot more special.
