What a week of celebrating the Arts with every child in our school having their moment on the stage. We were taken on a journey by our very own Dr Who and his assistant Hayley Hay who helped our martian friends Boonie Hoonie find mischievous Zoonie and Goonie. From Antarctica to Argentina, South Africa to Spain - "The Journey" was a spectacle of colour and culture.
Around the world in 90mins - an awesome effort from the team and, as usual, our tamariki at Hoon Hay School absolutely shone in the spotlight! Special thanks to everyone who did their little bit to bring it all together!

Spaceship Art in Room 7
Room 7 has been very busy in Term 2, learning about space. We have created lots of different space artworks and even have a solar system that we've painted, up on our walls. Check out these awesome spaceships that we have designed. We made them using paper bowls and cups!

Year 4 Choir Visit George Manning Rest Home
The Year 4 choir had a wonderful visit to George Manning Rest Home on Thursday 5 July. The children were beautifully behaved and sang their hearts out, and they even had a standing ovation! Our friends at the Rest Home just loved the singing and smiles that the children brought to them. The crazy hair also brought a few smiles to their faces!
