Kids in Town 2018

The Kapa Haka and Legends Choir performed superbly last week at the Art Gallery, as part of the
Kids in Town programme run by the City Council.

It is great to see so many of our whanau come along to watch and many visitors to the city
stopping to take in the music. Jamison and Brierley played a lovely duet on the cello and viola,
Mya and Abi did a tap dance, and Eva and Samantha danced.

A Trip To Africa

Koffie and his team took us on a wonderful adventure in African culture, drumming, songs and dance today. Some of the children (and teachers) got to play the djembe drums and everyone joined in with the West African singing and dancing.
The children absolutely loved the experience - "It just made me want to get on a plane to go to Africa!" Liam, aged 11years.
